1 Can an iTouch or iPad devices use the Globalstar Voice and Text App?

No they cannot. These devices can only use the Globalstar Data App for data and email.

2 Can I browse the Internet?

The Sat-Fi download speed is 9600kbps. Even though this is the fastest data speeds in the industry for sending and receiving email, Internet browsing will be very slow.

3 Can I change the Sat-Fi hotspot login password?

Yes the password can be changed using the Sat-Fi Unit User Interface. The default password is satfi1234.

4 Do I need to be connected to the Sat-Fi Hotspot to make a call?

Your smartphone must be registered and connected to the Sat-Fi hotspot to send/receive satellite calls.

5 Do I need to be connected to the Sat-Fi to write and read email?

You can write and read email without being connected to the Sat-Fi. Your smartphone or other wireless device must be registered and connected to the Sat-Fi hotspot to send/receive email.

6 Does the Sat-Fi have SOS capabilities?

The Sat-Fi does have SOS alert capability with GPS location data sent to emergency responders (coming soon)

7 How do I get an Activation Code/Data Access Voucher?

Each Sat-Fi unit will come with one Activation Code for the Globalstar Data App. Additional Sat-Fi Data Access Vouchers can be purchased here – http://www.globalstar.com/datavoucher

8 How many users can be connected to the Sat-Fi?

Up to 8 users can be connected to and share a data connection Sat-Fi at one time. Only one voice call can be made at a time.
